XERVON Instandhaltung masters three turnarounds simultaneously

One important prerequisite for being able to provide maintenance services is having a sufficiently large number of specialists on hand to do the work. This is particularly true for major projects such as turnarounds where large teams of experienced operatives must be available to perform their specialist tasks whenever they are needed. And preferably employees that not only have the necessary expertise but turnaround experience as well.

When it comes to turnarounds, large teams of experienced operatives must be available to perform their specialist tasks whenever they are needed.

Last autumn, XERVON Instandhaltung was more than able to prove that its company is capable of doing just this – when it delivered a comprehensive package of services for three turnarounds all held at the same time. More than 700 XERVON employees were simultaneously deployed to carry out the work on site at their customers’.

The principal contractor for a refinery turnaround

  • Being the principal contractor for one of the projects – the turnaround at a refinery in Hamburg – XERVON Instandhaltung was responsible for delivering practically all of its services. Besides managing all the scaffolding, industrial cleaning and insulation work, it also performed an extensive range of mechanical tasks: working to a very tight schedule, the specialists worked on around 500 pieces of equipment, such as air coolers, heat exchangers and vessels as well as approx. 1,000 fittings.
